Sand. It stretched for miles upon miles and didn't seem as if it would end. Sure there was the occasional rock here or there, but the sand out numbered the reddish rocks by far. Nor did the sun make the area feel any better. The figure couldn't feel it, but the dead charred birds did nothing to make him feel good about it. Trudging along the terrain with nothing more than a thought of getting out of this dangerous wasteland the man peels away the sweaty cerulean ponytail from his back neck. Jade eyes set with a determined look in them. He was not going to find his end in some barren wasteland!
Taking a step forward he finds one of his feet stuck in the sand. The murderous sand seeming to be eating his leg all the way up to the knee and his face planting into the ground. Oh how low this Seraphim has found himself. Sprawled on the sandy ground with his usually well kept hair in a mess from the heat and sand. His bad luck had once again struck as he attempts to get up only to fall once more due to the captured leg. Getting into a position with his face not into the sand he desperately tries to pull it up, but as it would seem it was fairly stuck. With his body seeming to lack any mana he couldn't call upon his angelic strength to pull it up.
Sitting there with his eyes closed he crosses his arms with a very stressed look on his face. Thinking of some brilliant way to pull his leg out. Opening his eyes once more he looks for anything to grapple onto, and naturally the rocks fail to be in his general vicinity. Feeling a vein starting to pop on his forehead he lets out an aggravated groan as he falls onto his back. One leg laying comfortably on the sandy ground and hands folded on his chest he closes his eyes.
"I guess the only thing to do now is to wait for some miracle." Yuan says with an edge to his tone. Still thinking of some way to get his leg out of the hole. After a few minutes he quickly gets up and starts pulling it on once more. The idea of chewing his leg off coming to mind, but knowing he'd die of blood loss before he could find a town nearby. After several attempts he grapples around for a small flat rock and gets to work on digging his leg out.

"Now I would appreciate if you can guard the small village at least 2 meters away, and with a distance between each of you at least 24 inches. We have to ensure that we're protecting the place to our highest potential, even though it's a small.. place after all."
The tall guard cleared his throat, his different-colored eyes blinking slowly, expecting a quick response from the group of ten guards he was just addressing. The Captain of the Guards was away; on an expedition, and entrusted Gael - one of his most trusted Guards, to take his place until he comes back. He may appear to be a regular guard from appearance, but the truth was hidden beneath; he was an angel, living for at least 4,000+ years: and amongst the most powerful of Suiren. It was rather easy to have this secret kept in tact; especially around humans, whom are rather oblivious of the supernatural beings: such as angels and the like. An eyebrow rose above his right eye before one of the guards, a small yet chubby and bright young man, walked up and nodded respectively. He was grateful that not even one of them is deeply religious, so they wouldn't have that strong of a suspicion about Gael.. a suspicion that would often pop up in someone's head: they're not from this world. "Gael! I will make sure that they follow your orders, you can count on me!" He himself didn't feel quite comfortable talking to a group of people like this: and felt extremely closed in. After all.. he was quite the reclusive type and would rather be alone more than anything. Maybe it was with his curiosity of humans that brought him here - to make him tolerant of being around people, and their constant questioning and statements.
"Good." Those were the last words uttered from Gael's lips before he turned around, walking towards the direction in which he would be guarding. It was in the outskirts - where there's sand, sand, and even more sand. There would even be the occasional spots of dried sand that would be rather hard to dig. There even would be dead charred birds that died from heat stroke or just too much exposure. Being who he is, he was rather used to this kind of weather; working here practically all of his life. To raise the suspicions of him possibly being some "immortal" ( like one old lady thought him to be ), he would drift to other places and work there - but this place: a guard of Sabaku, would be the last. After all.. after he's done with this job for good, he would settle down in a forest maybe - somewhere where it's quiet and the creatures rarely bothered you unless you trespassed upon their territory. If he was a human, he wouldn't even of been able to survive, but thanks to his angel lineage and fire/earth properties, he was as protected as a water spell would be. When he finally arrived at his designated spot, he stood a considerable distance away - unseen, looking down to see someone's.. foot stuck in the sand.
It was common for one's foot to be stuck in the sand, but for this person to be clawing around at the area - trying to dig his way out.. his foot must have fallen in deep. He saw what the man was holding; a small flat rock. 'Like that's going to help.' He thought to himself, not saying that out loud because.. there are people in this world that can get anal by a simple statement like that. Either way.. it was his duty as a guard to protect the village, as well as to help any travelers in the desert wasteland. The people that lived here knows how rough life is, and developed a sub-conscious idea on how to get here and/or to another place. He waited a moment, before finally walking towards the man.. whose essence felt rather.. familiar.
"If you do it like that, it'll take a long time before you are able to pull your foot out."
He knelt down by the man's foot, grabbed his ankle, and pulled it out rather easily ( if the man let him, that is, if not, he would just stand in front of him ), his eyes directed to the man's hair. '... Blue..' It was not common for someone to be seen with that colored of hair, as well as his own Silver hair. He was no half-elf at all: most of them had near the same colored hair as his, or at least some light shade of a different color - such as green. "If you've encountered a villager from Sabaku, you would most likely been able to traverse this desert as easily. They know a way of getting here that doesn't involve the deep hills of sand and dead birds." He spoke fluidly, before clearing his throat. He forgot to introduce his name. At least he has manners.
"I'm Gael Bellathis. Your name, if I may ask?"

He knew that attempting to dig his leg out with a rock wasn't going to help. It was stuck with something keeping it down, no doubt a cursed rock that wished to cause him increase agitation. Now he could possibly blast the area around his leg and it could possibly set his leg free but he didn't want to waste any more mana then he needed to. Sitting there with thought of what he could do, his eyes raise up towards a person walking towards him. Now it couldn't be chance that this man just happened to find him and want to go help the poor Seraph from his predicament. In all his life, those types of people are rather hard to come by.
Attempting to not seem like a damsel in distress he raises his chin and looks at the strange man with calculative eyes. He had different colored eyes and silver hair, which didn't seem too uncommon from where was. Well anything with elven blood seem to be slightly messed up in the color department, just look at his hair. Feeling the man's mana out his eyes narrow down at the oddness of it. It isn't elven, or human. He surely isn't short enough to have Dwarven blood in him, then what could he be?
The man's voice cuts in before his thoughts could dive further into the matter. Looking up at him, Yuan doesn't look that all impressed at the man's jib. He knew that, but it didn't hurt to try. Naturally Yuan would insist on no help from anyone, but considering the circumstances it's not like he asked the man to get his foot out of the sand. Still sitting there without a word with no gratitude edged onto the man's features he listens to the man 'lecture him? As if Yuan would know where Sabaku is or that there were any villagers around the area. Not as if he wanted to be dumped in the middle of the dessert.
Hearing the odd name of the area Yuan widens his eyes a fraction at the fact that he just might not be in Aselia any more. Looking away from the man with deep thought, not even listening to the man introduce himself, he starts to put all what the man has said into a full picture. Was he kidnapped? Perhaps this is some sort of sick joke placed on him? Better yet, who the hell did this anyway? Looking back at Gael the bluenette thinks of his options and decides he just might need this Gael's help. Getting up quickly and dusting off any stray grain still on his person he looks at Gael and finally answers.
"Well Mr. Mysterious Bellathis. It's a pleasure meeting you." Yuan says giving emphasis on mysterious for his unknown but familiar mana signature. Not bothering to give his name since he highly doubts he'll meet this man ever again, yet something about Gael made him slightly uneasy. Giving a small bow he smiles up at the man with a slight amused look in his eyes. "I thank you for your assistance, it was rather kind of you."
"Tell me what is the capitol of the area? I am not from this area, and I have found myself rather lost unfortunately." Yuan says hinting that he could use someone to guide him around the area. If anything at least to the nearest town and find some map of the area.
