WISH UPON A STAR
History:
Gailardia Galan Gardios was born as the second child to Elaine and Armand Gardios. He had an elder sister, Mary, and was watched over by Vandesdelca Musto Fende, a member of the Fende household which served the House of Gardios. The three were very close friends growing up - arguably even closer to Guy then his own mother and father since they were out of the household so much.
As Armand's first born son, Guy was chosen to be the successor of the House of Gardios. He would eventually inherit his father's title and acquire control over Hod Island when Armand's rule ended. While this was not expected to happen until Guy was of a suitable age to take over, Armand life, along with the rest of the members from the House of Gardios, came to an abrupt halt one night.
The Kimlascan army, led by Duke Fabre, slaughtered the people of Hod, determined to follow through with the Score was as it had been predicted. As soldiers broke into the Gardios household, the maids, along with Mary, sacrificed themselves to protect Guy, hiding him from sight beneath their bodies. It was because of this that Guy developed gynophobia, though the memory as to why he suffers from this phobia would became less and less clear to him as he got older.
Left with nothing after the massacre, Guy sought revenge against Duke Fabre. Alongside Van, he infiltrated the Fabre household as a servant, aiming to make the Duke suffer just as much pain as he had made Guy from the Hod war. Having been hired to look after the Duke's son, Luke, Guy made it his goal to eventually kill the younger boy. While seemingly not very close to Luke, Guy knew that the loss of the Duke's heir and only child would be the best way to begin his revenge against the man. This plan, of course, did not go as Guy initially hoped it would though.
Instead of working on attempting to end the boys life, the last member of the Gardios family found himself growing closer to the Duke's son. Their relationship was awkward for Guy at first, as he tried his best to hide his true intentions and feelings from everyone. Unable to see past Guy's facade however, Luke grew more trusting of the Fabre servant, thus placing even more guilt onto the other boy's conscience. The younger boy's blind faith and general need for companionship softened Guy's resolve and, slowly, he came to genuinely care for Luke.
His friendship with the younger boy was tested one day when Luke was kidnapped, presumably by the Malkuth empire. The experience had been so traumatic to Luke that he lost all of his memories, thus forcing Guy to decide whether or not to start their friendship anew. Guy took it upon himself to look after Luke, but through his easy going teaching he ended up spoiling the boy more then he intended.
Several years later, while watching a training session between Luke and Van, a mysterious woman broke into the Fabre household, putting all of the occupants to sleep with a fonic hymn. While attempting to assassinate Van, Luke managed to put himself in between the two to try and protect his teacher. Their clash resulted in a isofon-induced hyperressonance between the two, transporting them to an unknown location in Malkuth. Panicked, Duke Fabre ordered Van and Guy out to try and find Luke. Guy was able to find and help Luke and his new group of friends with escaping the God Generals.
They hadn't been able to entire shake the God Generals however, as their group was continuously pursued on their journey back to Kimlasca, one seemingly always around the next corner waiting to confront them. On their way out of Chesedonia, Guy was attacked by Sync the Tempest. He appeared to be fine after the encounter, but it wasn't until later that they find out what exactly Sync had done. Returning to Baticul, the group met with the king and Luke's parents before heading out to Akzeriuth. They planned to go by land to avoid any confrontation with the Oracle Knights, but it ended up failing as the God General's were able to take Ion. But it was through this turn of events that they found that one of the God General's looked eerily similar to a certain red haired youth in their party...
The party went to the Zao Ruins to face the God General's and save Ion. After bringing the Fon Master back to Chesedonia, they met with Malkuth consulate to see if they get could board a ship heading to Kaitzur. Their meeting was interrupted when Guy felt a sudden pain in his right shoulder, causing him to collapse and lash out at Luke. Upon inspection from Jade it was revealed that Guy had a cursed slot placed on him. With the power of the cursed slot depending on the proximity of the user, the group decides to leave Chesedonia quickly, figuring the user was probably near by.
Upon arriving at Akzeriuth the party set to work on doing their best to help the people there. Everyone, that is, except for Luke. He was extremely antsy and was more concerned on meeting up with Van then doing anything else. Looking back, Guy feels he probably should have been more stern and said something to Luke, but even then it might not have changed what had happened. Like a puppeteer with a puppet, Van manipulated Luke into using hyperressonance to destroy the pillar, or sephiroth tree, that held up Akzeriuth. Thanks to Tear's fonic hymn's the party was able to survive, but unfortunately they were the only ones.
Like the rest of the party, Guy had a hard dealing with Luke after the incident. But he found that while Asch was the 'Luke' he initially first met in the Fabre household, his true friend was the idiot they left behind in Yulia City. He left to wait for Luke at Aramis Spring, after which the group headed to Daath to save Ion and Natalia from the Oracle Knights. Their travels eventually led them to Grand Chokmah, but to get there they had to travel by foot through Theor Forest. Right as they were about to reach the exit, they were attacked by Largo and Sync, causing the curse slot on Guy to suddenly activate.
When they reached Grand Chokmah, Ion was able to remove the curse slot on Guy, though Ion stated that Guy would have never attacked Luke if he hadn't ever felt like killing him before. Unable to deny it, Guy confessed why he initially came to the Fabre house and who he had been before that. While he still had lingering feelings on the matter, he still wanted to travel with Luke, to make sure he finished a bet he'd made many years ago.
They continued on their journey of slowing down the degeneration of the sephiroth tree's so that the outerlands wouldn't be destroyed.
With that the group continued on their journey, trying to slowly lower the Outer Lands into the Qliphoth. At the end of their struggle they were forced to battle Van himself, and, while Guy and Van no longer considered one another as master and servant, the battle was both physically and emotionally hard for all of them. Though their battle seemed to end there with Van's 'death', it was far from over. After a month or so after the battle, the God General's had apparently returned - along with Van, who had been able to absorb and contain Lorelei within himself.
Eventually, the group was able to finally defeat Van once and for all, though Luke was pushed to do the ultimate sacrifice on their behalf. While using hyperresonance and the Seventh Fonstone would likely kill him, Guy remained faithful that his friend would eventually return – he could never forgive him if he just disappeared after all.

INTO THE WEST

( This a post from another site set in a completely AU Tales setting – thus Sheena had never met anyone from the original game yet and still had Corrine. )
At first the young woman didn't give much thought to the small tremor that came from the fence post at her back. The fence's around here were old and worn from the many harsh seasons they had endured. Not to mention in some areas they were angled in a odd way thanks to where a cow might have rested a bit too heavily against it. That said, the Summoner had simply figured this was one of those happenings – until her companion stirred from his sleep. Corrine's head lifted a few seconds after the subtle shake at her back, ears perked and body tensing.
Frowning lightly, the female shifted slightly to follow the small Summon Spirit's line of sight, eyebrow's knitting when the sound of heavy footsteps reached her ears. She hadn't expected anyone else to have been out today. Terris might have been regarded as a nice relaxing location, but Sheena had figured there wouldn't have been anyone else out willing(or foolish enough)to take a chance to enjoy the warmer weather today. She gave the obviously displeased man a strange look, not entirely sure if she felt more embarrassed for having been caught in a slight state of undress or simply from the gentleman's almost childishly grumpy appearance. Sheena offered him an awkward inclination of her head in acknowledgment, though he seemed so enraptured in his fuming he hardly appeared to notice them. Or at all really. Not that she minded – Sheena didn't want any of that anger potentially directed at her.
Corrine kept his eyes trained onto the blue-haired man as he stretched his front legs out as if to readying to jump up at any moment. Sheena gave the Summon Spirit a soft nudge with her hand, trying to placate him as the man walked past. Well, that had been peculiar. At least he was gone now- … Or maybe she had thought too soon. Not even a few minutes after the man had gone by a sudden vulgar exclamation rang up from down the road, followed by a string of equally foul words spat out in frustration. Startled, Sheena automatically scrambled to her feet, reacting more out of instinct than anxiety.
“What in the-” She started, the rest of her words failing to form when she spotted the source of the sudden commotion. What the... Was he... stuck or something? Struggling to find a way to make sense of this turn of events, she shot her companion a mixed expression before hopping over the fence, hastily pulling her gloves back on as she did so. Sheena only came to abrupt halt when her body collided with something – or, more specifically - someone else. Giving a soft gasp of surprise, she stumbled backwards a few steps to regain her footing. The Summoner looked up to get a better view of who she'd bumped into, giving a hasty shake of her head and hands as she did so.
“Oh, no! Please don't be – I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. I'm sorry about that.” Giving the other man an sheepish bow in apology, she extended her arm towards the fence to where her furry companion awaited. Corrine scrambled up her arm to rest at her shoulder and sent the second person a cautious glare from his new perch. He hardly felt comfortable with one new person, and now there were two? He was certainly going to be on guard now. Sheena gave the gentleman a nod while mumbling another apology before setting off to help the blue-haired man, who was now sitting on the ground not too far ahead. Jogging up to where he was apparently stuck, she paused awkwardly behind him, giving a small cough to alert him to her presence.
“Er, do you need any help?” She offered lamely, trying and failing to give a smile, which came out to form something of a grimace. She held out her hand as a means to try and help him back up. Though it hadn't quite occurred to her what little good that might do... Astute as always, she was.
