Death lurked in every corner. Dead bodies littered the ground, blood splattered all over the place. A lone child cried over her mother's dead body, too young to understand. Life used to roam this plaza but the people there got in the way of one being that is not to be trifled with. This lone being stood atop a mound of rubble and dead bodies, an eerie black aura fluctuating around him. Actually, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. Let's start at the beginning, to explain this story...
On this lovely day, the sun was shining and everyone was having a nice day, except for one man. It had been a couple years since he left the Wilson's household. He had gained much experience in the line of battle as well as developing a few new moves of his own but we won't go into that. On this day, this man was wearing a dark blue sleeveless tunic, rather comfy if I do say so myself. He also wore a pair of dark blue trousers, also being comfy.
A lone pauldron covered his right shoulder as well as his biceps/triceps. This pauldron was a dark black color with golden trim outlining it. A thin leather band stretched from the base of the pauldron that is near the neck and went down, in a diagonal angle, across his chest and connected to the belt. On this belt was a sword and scabbard, it rested on his left side so he could draw it with his right hand. Black fingerless gloves adorned his hands and black leather boots covered his feet. To top things off or rather, bottom, he wore a pair of silver greaves on each leg. These greaves covered the kneecaps, shins, calves and top of his feet in solid steel. The perfect leg guards. This man, his name was Jeraal Hawk, and he was a killer.
Today was one of his bad days. He woke up on the wrong side of the bed and, among other things, he hadn't killed anything lately and that instinct to kill can creep up on a man. Since he was already in a bad mood, he had no reason to resist such a feeling. Turning a corner, he bumped into someone, rather, someone bumped into him. Slowly looking down, his gaze locked onto a small girl and she had just spilled her ice cream on his leg. Jeraal's right eye had begun to twitch violently. Not a good thing to do to a guy that is riding on the borders of insanity. Rather than take the obvious hint that he was about to explode, although since she was young, she had no idea what was about to happen. However, the mother rushed over and pulled her away just in time. His glare snapped to her. She tried to glare back but was defeated by his. She fled screaming and that's when the guards in the area decided to step in.
This was turning out to be a really good day. Jeraal wished that one of them brandished a weapon against him so he could go off on them. Unfortunately this band of guards were too controlled for such silliness.
"You there, man, what did you do to her?" One of the guards asked, probably the higher ranking of this small group. Rather than answering, he swept his gaze around at the guards and then their leader. Half of them looked away, the captain didn't. Heh, this was turning out to be a good day after all. "Are you going to answer me or shall we take you in for questioning?" The guard eyed Jeraal's weapon cautiously. Was he afraid of it? Was he afraid of dying? Grinning maliciously, Jeraal placed his right hand upon Saphir's hilt, that's his sword. Doing so caused all the guards to take a hold of their weapons, as if sensing a threat from the blue haired male.
"You shall get no answer out of me, only if you beat me will I consider it." His voice was like a soft whisper, only heard by the guard captain.
Before he could alert the others, Jeraal whipped out his sword, immediately decapitating the closest guard. Laughing evilly, Jer flowed into each attack, making it look like a dance as he moved to and fro, dicing up his opponents. Oh he wouldn't stop there, when finishing the guards, he would move onto the townspeople, slaughtering them all. Is there no hero that can stop this senseless killing of the innocents?

xx Hope fades Into the world of night Through shadows falling Out of memory and time -----------------------------------------------------
A elven girl had set out from her village many moons ago, she had wanted to get out and travel the world. Lumos would be safe without her...hopefully. Besides they had strong elven warriors to protect the crystal that was given to them to protect by the goddess who gave her very life to create their world. It had been when the crystal ignited and the image of the goddess came to them, telling of a great evil which must not be released. A beast which was sealed away in a cave, the seal had been tampered with but one only needed to collect all the crystals from each of the cities to release him. Aria would hear nothing of it and took it upon herself to leave Lumos to travel the world and see if she could find the hero of the world tree, but so far no luck. The goddess had also mentioned something about seeking help from those in other worlds parallel to Suiren, did she not trust the people in her own world to protect everyone from this beast. But was she to argue for the image of the great goddess had disappeared, and since them Aria has been wandering around. The first city she was going to visit was Aquios, for days she battled monsters that had appeared and fought with some battle scars to show till she found the hidden trail which led into the city.
Upon arriving though she could sense something was foul, breaking into a run to get over the trail she soon stood at the top and glanced down to the city of Aquios. What met her eyes was something she hoped she would never see, the cries of the people also seemed to ring in her ears. Aria being an elf could pick up alot with her hearing, but how could the chief of the city let this happen to Aquios. Making her way down the trail the elf hurried into the city and headed up to the plaza, of course what she saw made her stop in her tracks and cover her mouth. There was blood and bodies scattered in a place that was suppose to be beautiful and calm, Aria couldn't stop the tears already flowing down her cheeks. The tears held sadness and malice as she glared to the man who seemed to slice down anyone who got in his way. "Why would you injure the innocent? These people are peaceful". Already she got her staff ready, holding it tightly in her hand. She would not step back and stand for this, Aria only let her eyes wander for a split second to all the innocent already dead and the others who were still fleeing for their lives.
Her gaze quickly snapped back to the intruder here in Aquios, she would take him down no matter what. Or at least hoped to. Raising her staff to point at the man, she just glared hateful tears in his direction. "You have stained this ground with the blood of the innocent, this is a crime I will not let slide. So prepare yourself". She had to make a quick decision on what spell to use, not one that would sap her energy too quickly otherwise she will make herself vulnerable to attacks. Wait Aquios was surrounded by water, perfect she could use her water spell to attack. Starting to mumble the spell a blue circle appeared under her then moved her staff around calling forth the wall of water, when it appeared she focused only on him then sent it his way hoping it would hit. Her spell would only target the enemy not anyone else, but if it missed well.....she would just have to try again.

The screams of the dying people excited him. Left and right people keeled over from being severed from their brain or heart or just instantaneous loss of blood. He was having so much fun then someone decided to intervene. Irritation flashed across his face when this female spoke to him, interrupting his killing spree. How dare sh-..Darn, the spree timer ran out, I lost my killing spree! DX
Anyways, Jeraal turned his body, pulling his sword, Saphir, out of the body of a dead person. He then swiftly slashed it to the side, all the blood flying off and splattering on the ground. When he took a threatening step forwards, the female began to chant or something of that sort then the glow came along with the water. Ugh, a spellcaster, so annoying. Mages were annoying to fight, they hardly took part in close ranged fighting, always staying far away to cast their little spells.
Growling, Jeraal jumped onto a building that sat next to him with amazing speed then leaped from that one to the another building that was a bit taller that sat across the street. Hopefully avoiding that spell, he channeled his energy into his sword, causing red energy to form up around it. He was charging for a Power Slash, his signature attack. Jeraal ran to the edge of the roof then went down over the side, pushing off the wall and launching himself at the elf with surprising speeds. Too much for an ordinary human to see as their eyes cannot comprehend it.
While in mid-flight, Jeraal morphed his Power Slash into something else, as Power Slash is the basis for another attack. By doing this, the wind closed in and swirled around his slim blade. The killer planned to land on the ground right next to Aria and use the momentum to swing his sword and slice into her side which could cut her in half. Could she prevent him from reaching her?

(Said it was 'Open' so I'll test my luck)
"You lose buddy, pay up!" The teen stood behind a table in an alley and motioned with his index and middle fingers for the mark to fork over the Gald he was hustled out of.But judging from how the man dressed, this was only 'pocket Changed' and he had much more back at the mansion... Something the Seishin Street Fighter/Hustler...whatever title suits him at the time noted as the old man bowed before leaving; this suggested he lost on purpose; saw the kid's dark green tank top (with a bright red star sewn on the back that had a stylized 'R-F' cut out) and matching cargo pants and felt pity... this made Ryuusei frown as he wished he wore his regular garb; he could've taken the geezer for SOOOO much more with that...
But whatever, as he pocketed his earnings, the Seishin heard people and lots of them, running into the alley. (Aw crap! They tracked me down already!? Only took 'em a day...) were his thoughts while hopping onto the table; then used his 'Setsuna' Skill to become a green blur and wall-jump his way onto a rooftop. The Seishin watched the crowd below. They ran right past his table, not even stopping to demolish it or take his stuff, he also didn't recognize any of them which meant. "They ain't after their money..." And shifted his gaze in the direction they came. (Somethin's got 'em spooked... whatever it is, it's bad for business.) And he hopped the rooftops toward the plaza.

(I'll join in as well if you don't mind)
Ayane went into the place looking for someone to befriend, it had been a fair while since she last met a human as she had only met with monsters who she had dealt with fairly quickly. However when she arrived she could hear the screams of the people, she quickly ran towards the scene to find a man killing people left and right with his sword; this infuriated Ayane who deeply cared about people and to see someone senselessly killing people for no reason, okay probably there was a reason but not a good one, angered her. However she did noticed that someone was engaging the man so for now she would watch the fight but would most probably intervene if it came to it.

This was not something she was hoping to stumble upon, why did the chief of Aquios send a call out for aid if this was happening. Perhaps he had no time to send out call for help. Well whatever she was here now and it was time to teach this person a lesson. Aria took a moment to just look around at all the death which littered the plaza of this once pretty and bright place, to her it felt as if a dark cloud was now hanging over and waiting to swallow anyone else up in it's path. Her eyes tried to fixate on anyone who could possibly be moving or barely alive, if or when she was finished with this stranger there would be alot of healing needed to those who are indeed injured. If they were lucky enough to get away. Just seeing this scene one could instantly feel the pain which tugged at the heart, and if one closed their eyes could hear the screaming as these helpless people fell to the blade of this man. Yes this man that she didn't know, but knew he was bad news had to be stopped before anymore people got killed.
Aria had already taken her staff off her back, and gripped it hard in her hand. This was unacceptable and the killing was going to end right here. She tried not to seem fazed by him taking his blade out of the dead corpse, or the fact of the sound the blood made as it splattered onto the ground. By the time he took a step towards her, Aria was already casting her first spell a weak one but it was powerful none the less. She wanted to save her strength for the bigger spells incase this guy did pose such a major threat. As soon as she was done, Aria sent the spell at Jeraal hoping to hit him. But when she looked at the spot he was in, it was empty. Her gaze quickly shifted to a building nearby, this guy......he was so quick. Not wanting to be off guard she used her staff to shift the water to follow the person, she couldn't hold it forever though and if it missed it missed. Aria tried again to attack but just as she thought the spell missed, this guy was moving way too fast for her and it seemed like she was in trouble.
When she had been doing her spell, it looked like he was charging up his own attack. To a normal human they wouldn't be able to see this attack come at them, for their vision would only pick up the sound of this man's movement and soon it would be too late. But since she was an elf she could see how quickly this man was moving. There he was now coming at her with alarming speed and her water spell had failed, she needed to do something and quick since his attack would probably injure her greatly.......even kill her. A quick spell......a qui......of course. "Spirit of the earth hear my call, come forth and aid me in battle. For the spell I call upon to strike down thy enemy, is ELVEN MELODY". The ground began to rumble below her feet as root suddenly shot out from around her, they hurled forward and towards the man who had killed so many. Hopefully this would do some damage, she wanted nothing more then to give these innocent souls justice for what has happened.
