REACH ACROSS THE BARRIERS OF TIME

”Impressed yet?”
I SING THIS LULLABY FOR YOU
Name: Alexander Sears
Age: 24
Canon or OC: OC
Which game are you from: N/A
Alliance: Bad
Weapons:
Jess & Julie
A pair of hand crafted pistols, customized by Alexander himself. While they are one of his more recent creations they are still very close to his heart, kept holstered at his sides at all times. It’s not so much that he was worried about being attacked, but more about the connection he feels with most of his creations. The silver Jess and golden Julie were always polished to perfection, never a single scratch on them. Rather than firing actual bullets, these guns channel fonons and focus it in a very similar manner to the was Fonists use spells. There is a switch on both of the guns that is easily accessed by his thumbs. This switch changes them into different ‘gears’. Each gear represents a different fonon, and therefore emits a different sound. These sounds attract the specific fonons in order to absorb them and convert them into attacks. Unfortunately, while this allows his shots to be imbued with a variety elemental effects, they can’t pierce like actual bullets.
Albatross
One of Alexander’s first creations. A large and somewhat bulky rifle that appears to be very sloppily put together. While that may have been the case at one point, it’s inner workings have been upgraded over time. Even with these upgrades, Bess still isn’t nearly as advanced as Jess or Julie. She is still just a rifle, only capable of firing average bullets. Though she is capable of firing different types of custom ammunitions that Alexander develops.
Powers:
Standard Artes
Achilles Heel
Albatross is carefully aimed for the target’s achilles tendon. If the bullet lands, it could potential render the target immobile. Unfortunately, it takes some time to get the target lined up. Even more so if they are moving. This attack is not normally used in the heat of battle. (Non-Elemental)
Earth Spike
Either Jess or Julie are set to second gear and fired into the ground. Wherever these shots land, a spike or rock come up from the earth. The spikes remain in place until destroyed. (Earth)
Flash Bang
One pistol is set into seventh gear, while the other is set to sixth gear. Both guns fire at the same time, one gun unleashing a bright flash while the other emit’s a high pitch sound. If one is not prepared for such a thing, this combination can be very disorienting.
Mystic Artes
Chain Reaction
Both Jess and Julie switch into their fifth gear and fire a rapid succession of fist sized spheres with a red glow. When these spheres make contact with a surface, they immediately stick to it. After the target and the area around them are covered with these spheres to the user’s satisfaction, he switches over to third gear. Bolts of lighting are then fired from both guns aimed directly at the target. This bolt triggers the detonation of all spheres it connects with. As these spheres explode, they also cause all of the others caught in the blast to detonate. (Fire/Wind)

WISH UPON A STAR
History:
Alexander was born to a pair of low status nobles in the capital city of Baticul. Just as most nobles in this situation, they were eager for their children to bring glory and prestige to their family name. In order to do this, they began to hire tutors for him from a very young age. Again, much like many other noble children. However, from a very young age his family and teachers discovered he had an above average level of learning ability. But the only subject he had much interest in was ancient history. Everything about it fascinated him. On top of that, he learned that some of these past civilizations had invented fonetech far beyond what is capable now. As soon as he learned this, he became very interested fonemachines to the point where he demanded that he be sent to Sheridan to learn more about them. Before long, his parents gave up and sent him over.
By the time he arrived at Sheridan he was 15, and very disappointed. While there were some very interesting projects in the works, he was unable to take part in any of them. One of the first things they told him was that he wasn’t to touch anything and was only to observe. Despite how frustrated this made Alexander, he had no choice but to play by their rules. There was no way he could risk losing his chance to work with fonemachines. For the time being, he would just do his best to be optimistic and view it as a learning experience. This anger built up within him for a solid year, causing him to become bitter towards all of the other engineers. After this year, a wave of relief moved over him as he was informed that he would finally be able to take part in some of their experiments. His joy was quickly dashed down as he discovered that their idea of ‘taking part’ was nothing but grunt work. The only work they allowed him to do were basic and tedious calculations. It wasn’t even a week before Alexander decided he had had enough. He requested that he be allowed to take part in some actual engineering and have some actual responsibilities. After putting a considerable amount of thought into it, they decided to agree.
It didn’t take long for Alexander to show his true potential. Within another two years, he was a full fledged member of the development team. While he wasn’t the most experienced engineer, his talent was well above average for his age. Things were going fine for some time and remained this way for the next year. After this year, things in his life changed significantly. Apparently, he and a few other people were to be transferred from Sheridan to Belkend. While in the beginning the thought made him uncomfortable. Not only would he have to work with a new team, but he wasn’t even sure if they were going to work the same way. These thoughts were quickly put aside when he began to work. Not only was he supplied with more funding, but his new team was much more ambitious than back at Sheridan.
He continued to work in Belkend for many years to come. At first, the move felt like a good thing. His team’s ambitious nature had opened his eyes to the true potential of formations. Alexander quickly became obsessed. The possibilities of this technology were endless, and he knew that he could be the one to unlock all their secrets. He began to get into history once more, now with a new state of mind. It was no longer curiosity. Now he was digging for clues, evidence of past fonetech that he could use. That wasn’t his only goal though. ‘History repeats itself’. Something Alexander had heard many times throughout his life. If he could understand the past, maybe he can learn about the future.
It wasn’t until disaster struck that Alexander completely let go. Not long after he turned 22, he received news that Sheridan was attacked, and everyone in the town was destroyed. While he hadn’t seen them in many years, he still felt an attachment. His grief was quickly overshadowed by a strong desire to continue their work. From then on, he devoted all of his time and energy into research and development. Even going so far as to spend a portion of his time researching ancient texts. Before long, the tragedy of Sheridan what was important in his mind. It had become nothing but an excuse in his search for power.
Likes:
Warmth;
There‘s something about being warm that Alexander finds to be so calming. It could be anything from a naturally hot environment or just being bundled up in a blanket. When he feels warm and comfortable, he feels he can finally relax.
Spicy foods;
Alexander likes to eat just about anything. Spicy foods , on the other hand, are another story entirely. Maybe it’s the challenge of eating something that fights back. Or perhaps he just likes the way it tastes. Either way, give him something spicy and he’ll clean his plate.
Fonetech;
His love for fonetech has become more of an obsession than a simple like. The endless potential of this technology lets his mind go wild, and he loves it.
Ancient history;
The only thing that could possibly compare to his love of technology is his love for history. It doesn’t matter how long ago or where the events took place, so long as it’s new information.
Dislikes:
Ignorance;
There’s nothing worse than an idiot. Having to explain things multiple times to people is more than a pet peeve. It infuriates him. Of course, his idea of an ignorant person isn’t all too strict. If he has to explain something to someone twice, he already hates them.
Fighting;
While he loves to watch a good fight, Alexander has no interest in getting into one himself. The risk of injury and the loss of energy is hardly worth whatever minor adrenaline rush he may receive. Even that minor rush is nothing compared to what he gets from his work. His combat training is very minimal, only what he has gotten from testing his creations. Besides, he’s a thinker not a fighter.
Alcohol;
Alcohol just doesn’t seem to be worth the trade from Alexander’s point of view. While it may help some people to relax, it’s effects on the mind are simply too dangerous. Not to mention that, in the rare occasions where he has gotten drunk, he tends to blurt out things he probably shouldn’t.
Disorganization;
It is almost impossible for him to concentrate while working in a cramped or messy area. His workspace has to be organized and large enough for him to spread out a bit. Though his organization system is sometimes appears to be just as sloppy as the areas he would refuse to work in. But that is his mess, which makes it ok.
Fears:
His inventions getting stolen;
Nothing terrifies him more than the notion that one of his brightest ideas might end up getting stolen. Just the thought of someone else getting credit for his work is enough to send a shiver down his spine.
Running out of ideas;
Fortunately, this thought rarely ever crosses Alexander’s mind. But when it does, he can’t stop thinking about it. Once this gets stuck in his head, he begins scouring through ancient texts in search of documents containing information on ancient technologies. At the same time, this thought is always stuck in the back of his mind pushing him to come up with new creations.
Being replaced;
When Alexander receives a position, he will do whatever it takes to keep it. While he is working to defend his position, he is constantly cautious of those he thinks may want to take his place. This paranoia extends to the point where if he suspects someone may want to get rid of him he refuses to even take part in any food or drink provided by them.

INTO THE WEST

Sample RP:
Alexander lifted his hands up and each grabbed a fistful of hair as he shook his head quickly. Eyes were closed tightly as he doubled over in frustration. What the hell was going on here? How did he end up in this place? Hands slid down from the top of his head towards the ground and would then dangle loosely. This random event had to have some sort of rational explanation. He continued to dig through his mind, desperate for anything he could use to explain things. After his brief meltdown, he slowly began to regain his composure. Finally he stood erect and took a deep breath in through his nose and out through his mouth, creating a dim fog as the moisture condensed in the air. Head tilted back as he looked up the sky. Or rather, the thick blanket of clouds dropping snow down on top of the city.
”I know this isn’t Ketterburg. So where the hell am I!?” His words gave way to his frustration once more in a final burst. When he turned his attention away from the clouds, he came to see a small group of people staring curiously at him. Before he could speak to them, he felt something tug on his jacket from behind. Eyes narrowed as he quickly turned around to face the one disturbing his thoughts. But… there was no one there. ”Koori.” Gaze was diverted downward to see a young boy wrapped in many layers of clothing standing before him. ”This is Koori” A brow rose as he folded his arms across his chest. “I see.” Legs bent as Alexander crouched down to be eyelevel with the boy. ”Now go away.” Hands gripped the boys shoulders and turned him around before giving him a light shove in the back. Well at least he knew the name of his new location. But he still didn’t know where exactly he was. This couldn’t be Auldrant, could it?
He quickly rose and turned towards the group of people, most of which had already moved on to go about their business. Though a few of the street vendors were still looking at him strangely as they tended to their stalls. Eyes glanced around the city square, disappointed with the lack of activity. Fewer people means less potential information. Then again, it only appeared to be pretty early in the morning. The vendors would have to do for now. Alexander looked down at his hands for a moment, frowning at them as he felt them grow numb. He was going to need to buy some more appropriate clothes if was going to be spending much more time in this place. All he could hope is that the shops around here accepted gald. Not that it really mattered. Albatross would surely be enough to persuade them.
