Ah, Aquios. While not a very accessible city (and almost something of a chore to find), it was by no means anything less of a beautiful place. It had been a long and difficult process of just making his way through the forest and finally stumbling across a path leading to the city. Looking back at how long it had taken him, there was hardly any wonder as to why so many people found it difficult to find the lake-bound city. That's what the people of Aquios probably preferred though – it certainly seemed to keep the locals safe. Guy had been lucky enough to have gotten a few pointers from an exiting batch of visitors, but even with their advice his search for a path, any one of the of three, had been a miniature adventure in itself. Still, he had a smidgen of motivation to help him keep moving. The idea behind the town's technology for submerging it's home's underwater was certainly a draw for the fontech enthusiast, and had helped him to keep going during his journey of sorts through the forest.
Now safely making his way into said village, Guy plucked what he hoped to be the last of the leaves out of his hair, wincing slightly as it took a few blonde strands with it. Those had been some particularly sappy trees, he mused with a grimace. Throwing the leaf off to the side, Guy paused to peer at his surroundings. Upon seeing the lake oriented city he'd increased his stride by tenfold, eager to investigate what type of mechanisms the locals had used to be able to live in such an environment. How long ago had they been made anyway? What was the upkeep on something like that? If the technology was old, would it have any sort of potential rust problems by now? Question after question just bubbled up into his mind as he made his way in further, eyes roaming over each of the buildings with elated interest.
Regardless if he found much out about the city's technology during this trip, the swordsmen was pretty much just happy to be here and rather not somewhere else. His previous stop hadn't been exactly... calming. Not as he had initially thought it would have been, at least. While on his trip to Ethyos, under the assumption he'd get some sort of 'vacation time' in, all Guy really ended up doing was getting into a spot of trouble. One that he'd rather not look back on for quite some time. The unfortunate circumstances had been... well, just that, and merely thinking about it made his head hurt. He probably should have stayed away from another water oriented city thanks to the association between the two cities, but really, after staying in Grand Chokmah so many times the blonde found it difficult to dislike. Thumb running idly over the hilt of his sword, Guy strolled easily through the large city, comfortable with it's lax and friendly environment. Unlike Ethyos, Aquios wasn't overflowing with activity - at least in the sense where he had didn't have to think of where he took every other step for fear of having a potential collision. It probably would have been easier to have followed behind someone to 'buffer' the crowds for him, but what was done was done. He'd just have to keep a better eye out for things like that in future.

Ayane waltzed into the plaza in a happy mood, she had been travelling towards Aquios for quite some time now, along the way she met tons of people who were either helpful to her like that old lady who gave her directions; or people who were mean to her like those bandits who she gave a good bashing for their troubles. She knew that this world needed her help but she just didn't know who to help...there were lots of people but so little time for her to put her undivided attention towards.
She then saw a young man with blue eyes, yellow hair and wearing such bright outfits...he seemed to be the kind of man that needed her help and she simply approached him and said, "Hello...do you need help?"

With a sigh, the Replica ruffled his hair a bit out of frustration. Somehow, he had gotten lost and split up with Kratos while in this city. They were together when they entered it just that when they looked around, Luke wondered off. Great, now he was lost and Kratos was probably upset with him now. But he just needed to remain calm and think things through though that was something he normally wouldn't do.
Luke wondered the city, trying to find the red headed swordsman. If he could find him in time, maybe he could says that the crowd in the market made it hard to find him or something. Yeah, maybe that would work. That or he would see through the lie and get hit upside the head or get yelled at. Just thinking about that made the hair stand up. The Replica would just tell him the truth though it will make him look stupid. He sighed a bit as he stood in the Plaza.
This city sorta reminded him of Grand Chokmah. Memories of his past began to fill him mind. He missed his friends and his world dearly. It was because of them that he was a better person and a great fighter. Without them, he would have died in the fall of Akzeriuth. The Replica shook off his trip down memory lane as he began to walk forward a bit. However, his walking came to a stop as sharp pain filled his head. An aura of gold covered his body a bit as he held his head tightly. Sounds of pain escaped his mouth as he fell to his knees. "W-What's going on?..."[/b]
This pain was very familiar to the replica. This normally happened when Asch or Lorelei was trying to contact him. Was Asch alive as well? But, he was killed back on Eldrant. However, he would doubt it would be Lorelei. This word was different somehow and he couldn't really feel that mana fonons. Luke held his head and could only hope whoever was trying to talk to him would speak already.

Easily making his way through the lax crowds of the marketplace, Guy made his way towards the fountain set in the middle of the plaza. He felt much more at ease here then he had in... quite awhile, now that he thought about it. Ever since he'd ended up here, the strange world of 'Suiren', it had felt like the ground had been swept out from under his feet - quite literally. He couldn't even exactly recall as to how he'd arrived here in fact, just that he'd awoken one day after taking a roadside nap on his way to Baticul and voila – he was here. It had been very jarring experience, but he was surprisingly handling it all rather well. That is, of course, likely because Guy strongly believed that he would eventually find his way back home. He could handle being in Suiren, however brief a time, so long as he was able to hold onto the hope that he would eventually reunite with his friends. Add on top of that Guy wasn't entirely that unflappable of a person. That is unless it involved...
"Hello... do you need help?"
Speak of the devil. It was probably around that time of day for some female to inadvertently come far too close and push into his personal space. Blinking rapidly, the blonde turned his head in the direction of the speaker, body freezing upon eye contact. Oh dear. On the bright side at least the woman wasn't that close to him, standing a reasonable amount of steps away. It wasn't much compared to what he had faced before either, but the swordsman could feel his arms and legs locking up as realization dawned on him. Out of instinct he jerked back, legs bumping into the fountain's edge as he did so. For a moment, the young man teetered rather comically between potentially falling into the fountain or maintaining his balance, earnestly flailing his arms to achieve the latter. There must have been some higher power smiling down on him that day, as Guy was able to recover with only a bit of his dignity lost. Wiping his hands nervously against his sides, he gave the young woman an awkward smile, firmly gripping the hilt of his sword to suppress the light quiver starting in his arm.
“N-no, I'm alright. Thank you miss,” He replied with an incline of his head, trying to keep a respectable amount of distance between himself and the young woman without seeming rude. Now that he thought about it, maybe she could help him. Perhaps she knew of some information about this place or could point him out to someone who did. However, from the looks of her clothes she didn't appear to be a local, but what would one ever know by judging a book by its cover? Guy opened his mouth to take his comment back, but stopped when his eyes caught onto something just past the young woman's shoulder. No, that couldn't be who he thought it was. The person he knew with that appearance should be safe and back at his home, not here, trying to find his way back like Guy was. There was no mistaking it though, especially after coming face to face with the young man's original.
Luke? Eyes fractionally widening in fear, he turned to the female and gave her another nod, mumbling a short, “Excuse me.” There was no hiding the quiet urgency in his voice, the tension that knotted his eyebrows together made from obvious worry. He could hear a voice, a question coming from his direction, tone not entirely echoing the panic Guy felt beginning to bubble up inside him, but likely just as confused. Standing next to figure now, there was no doubt about it – he'd presumed right, and with the sudden knowledge that he was not the only one from his world here, it made him feel all the worse. He'd have to ask Luke how exactly he'd ended up in Suiren in a moment though, as the other young man looked as if he was in pain. Almost like those times whenever he had those headaches...
Dropping down to the redhead's side, he placed his hands on Luke's shoulders, trying to get the younger male to look at him. “Luke, what's wrong?” He asked the young man earnestly, trying to make sense of what exactly was happening. Guy had assumed after he'd come back that his headaches would have gone away too, seeing as Asch could no longer communicate with him. Or that was what he'd thought. Maybe there was still a possibility...? No, there couldn't be. Asch was dead. So what could this pain be coming from? “Luke, come on, say something to me.” The longer the boy was silent the more worried Guy became. He didn't appear to be bleeding any where, which helped his mind ever so slightly, but the mere presence of his best friend sent the swordsman's anxiety through the roof.

Ayane looked at the man as he declined her help, 'Well there goes her chance of helping him' Ayane thought to herself disappointed that the man didn't want to be helped. She then wondered though why he seemed to be afraid of her, although he didn't show it, she could feel that the man was afraid of her for some reason; perhaps she resembled someone to him or that her very presence was intimidating to the young man. She had never thought herself as very intimidating but then again she hadn't met much mortals in this world so she wouldn't know what they thought of her, for all she knew she could very well be intimidating but she just didn't know it.
She then looked at the young man's friend and soon realised that there was something wrong with him, he was clutching his head and he seemed to be in a lot of pain. Perhaps she could help the man with whatever ailed him and she could fulfil her duties as an Angel and get rewarded by the higher ups; with a glee she bounded to the red-haired man and with a cheerful voice asked, "Anything I can do to alleviate the pain sir?"

The pain. That was the only thing he could feel. The replica held onto his head as if it was the only thing he could do. What in the hell was going on?! Everything around seemed to be black out, all his senses were cut except for the sharp pain that seem to be stabbing into his mind. This was the longest this had ever gone on for. How long was he going to be like this? Minutes, hours, or maybe even days?! If this was Asch's doing, he was so going murder him for causing him this much pain.
However, a familiar voice and touch brought him back to the light. His eyes opened as he looked up slowly. [color=red"G-Guy?..."[/color][/b] He muttered. It was Guy! He was alive as well! The replica was so happy but no one could see it through the pain he felt right now. "I-I don't know whats.......AGH! Going on but, it feels as if someone is...trying to contact me or something!"[/b] Luke managed to say before the woman showed up. Who was she?
She offered to help but there was really no one who could help him. The replica closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Okay, this had gone on long enough. And with that thought, it vanished. The aura faded and the pain stopped. Luke sighed with relief and relaxed a bit. The replica could feel very few seventh fonons in the area. He kinda guessed that there was only just enough to make a connection but not enough to actually talk. But who or what was trying to speak with him?
More importantly, why weren't there many fonons here? It was so strange but those kinda things weren't in Luke's job description, it was more of Jade's thing. But enough of that, he had something bigger to handle now. Luke looked up at Guy. "Hey Guy, long time no see." He said with him normal smile as he scratched the back of his head like idiot he was, well half-idiot.

It had felt like the world had come to a stop when the younger man didn't reply to Guy, stomach churning at the sight of his friend in pain - or, hell, even being here. Not that the city seemed dangerous, but the simple fact that Luke was in Suiren was worrisome enough. Guy had figured the strange occurrence of waking up in a new world had only happened to him, though he'd never been able to completely brush aside the lingering and rather chilling thought that he couldn't possibly be alone in this. Sure, it gave him a small bit of comfort to see a familiar face, but it never lasted long. Not when he remembered he had no idea if it was even possible to return to their own world and they could possibly stuck here for the rest of their lives. Yeah, reality tended to be a bit of a downer.
Still, Guy couldn't help but feel relieved when the red-head finally gave a stuttering reply, even if he was struggling to control whatever sort of pain he was dealing with. Eyebrows knitting further together in confusion, the blonde tried to think of who could possibly be trying to contact his friend. It was already a given that Asch was dead, but could it be possible that Lorelei had the ability to contact Luke...? Maybe Lorelei was a connection between their world and Suiren? If that was the case, or however it may be possible for the seventh fonon to contact Luke here, could it be trying to tell him how to return home? Or maybe it wasn't Lorelei after all and it was actually something completely different. Well whatever it was, it was causing Luke a great deal of pain, and it left Guy, as Luke's headache's often did, feeling rather helpless. All he could really do was reassure Luke and hope the pain would pass over soon. Some help he was.
“The one and only,” He replied with a tight smile, having resisted the urge to say his cheesy entrance remark instead. The joke wouldn't be very fitting for this situation, anyway. Eventually Guy let his arms rest back to his sides as the other young man started to relax, his headache apparently fading. As Luke's pained expression eased away, he finally gave that old familiar grin of his and greeted the blonde as if nothing had happened. Staring at the red-head for a few heartbeats, Guy gave a small exasperated sigh before smiling back at his friend. Honestly, this kid... “Yeah, it's been awhile hasn't it? Though I honestly didn't expect to see you here of all places.” Guy's smile flattened briefly as he gave the other young man long stare. He wasn't able to ask as to why or how Luke was here though, as it was at that moment did the swordsman realize that they weren't as alone as he'd presumed.
Eyes widening into saucers, the blonde shot backwards with a startled yell, tripping over himself a couple of times in his haste. He ended up tumbling around where he'd been before noticing Luke, chest heaving as he tried to catch his breath. It was the girl from before - or that's what the person looked like when Guy finally comprehended who had come up to the two of them. His reaction garnered giggles from a few near by children at the fountain, but otherwise the entire spectacle, from Luke's headache to Guy's typical overreaction, had either gone unnoticed or was ignored by everyone save for the one female. What exactly had she said to them? He'd been so focused on Luke he couldn't even remember what she'd asked.

A distant light, shimmering in the distance. Eyes were closed, yet the light shined though, illuminated all of his senses. It was not an unpleasant sensation, yet still it woke him from a deep slumber. His last memories were painful, swords of mythril stabbing through his chest and sides. three soldiers, lives he had ended, and as a result he had ended his own. He had died. So how was it he felt anything at all? Could it perhaps be that he was ascending to heaven? No, why would he, one who had slaughtered hundreds, reach the grand gates of heaven?
It wasn't possible. Not for one who had bathed himself in blood out of rage.
Yet the light continued to grow close, warm and inviting. Uncaring, Asch allowed it to swallow him whole. At first, it was a gentle and enjoyable feeling that covered him. Yet as the light began to dull, a heavy weight took its place upon his body. And suddenly, air rushed into a pair of lungs he had forgotten he had. Emerald hues fluttered open, only to be blinded by the sun that shined down onto his body.
Wait, his body?
Asch held his hands up, taking in the site of them. They flexed when he wanted, and relaxed when he wanted. But how was it possible? Denial shot through him. It was not something that could be true. To be alive? Scattered images, faint memories, shot through his form. Dying, held by that d**n replica. And then he had faded, and the replica had taken his body.
That d**n replica had taken everything from him! Even his own body!
Rage flooded his veins, hot and searing. Trying to stand, the crimson-haired male found his legs to be less than stable. Fumbling to the ground, he cursed under his breath. Anger, bright and flaming, made him stand upon less than ready legs. It was a new body, not his own, but a new one for him to exist inside. Peering around, glass reflected that the body was identical to his former one. And then the realization hit him. He was inside some city. Holding the walls for support, he pushed himself out to the streets, and attempted to get his bearings. Yet, this place seemed to foreign. He did not recognize anything, yet he had traveled so much during his former life. Had he perhaps been dead for many years? No, he couldn't have been.
Don't stop walking, you're not this weak.
Stubborn, he pushed himself through what ever people came in his way, trying to find a face he had once known. Yet there were none. No face to remember, no memories to even recall at this time. Until jade optics settled on a form he knew all too well. Body like his, hair a bright crimson. Though the male was one who caused him anger, there was something else that shot through him. Hope. He wanted it to be the replica.
And so his voice called out, clear and loud. "Luke!"
A voice that belonged only to him, it felt so strange to live one more time. Though eyes saw also a familiar blond, he was ignored as Asch stumbled towards the replica. That voice he could remember, the face too similar to his own. The male's feet stopped abruptly, a small distance between them.
And he waited for a response. _____________________________________________

Ayane looked at both of the men in front of her before breaking out in laugher, "You two are so funny" she said as she couldn't believe that one of them was actually afraid of her while the other one, the red haired person, seemed to be out of it and not responding to anything that the other person, who seemed to be his friend, was saying to him.
However Ayane was concerned about the red-haired man since he seemed to be affected by something, she went up to him and gave a light shake, "Hey mister...are you feeling okay?" she asked hoping for some sort of answer.

Luke smiled a bit as he listened to Guy. The replica knew that Guy would never think that he would just die that easily. He stood by all the promises he made and would always keep them, dieing wasn't going to stop this. This had him wondering though. If Guy was here, maybe the others were here to or at least, he wanted to think this. Maybe, somewhere on this new world, everyone was searching for each other.
However, this thought process came to a grinding halt when he heard Guy yell. He quickly looked around and saw the blond haired male acting as if he seen a spider or something. His emerald eyes blinked a bit as he noticed the female. Did Guy really forget that there was a girl standing near them? With a simple smile and a shake of his head, Luke slowly stood up. "I see you're still a lady's man, Guy."[/b]
But, this little scene dramatically changed when he heard a very familiar voice yell out to him. He stood there in silence was a few seconds as a cold wind blew through the plaza. The only sounds were from the water fountain and the few people walking around. Slowly, he turned around to see if what he thought he heard was really true. Oh dear god...It was! His emerald eyes widened as he stared at the crimson-haired male.
That hair, those clothes, that face, and his voice; it was his original. "A-Asch?!?!?!!"[/b] He shouted. In seconds, Luke rushed over to his side. The replica quickly helped Asch stand up straight. How? He was suppose to be dead! Asch looked as if he was fighting an army or something. He appeared to be weak and drained. Could it have been Asch that tried to contact him? "Asch...H-How are you...?"[/b] He stopped as he looked at Asch with concerned eyes.

Guy sputtered incoherently for a moment in Luke's direction, still trying to calm his nerves after the far to close encounter with the strange young woman. Typical Luke dealing with a typical Guy (over)reaction, even though it was the red-head's fault for making Guy so distracted. If he hadn't been so focused on making sure his friend was okay then Guy would've noticed the woman earlier. But, then again, he wouldn't have even been in that situation if Luke wasn't here to begin with. The thought sobered the swordsman out of any lingering feelings of his anxiety, forcing him to once again focus on how and why Luke were here. Himself included, but the blonde currently found Luke's presence here more alarming then his own.
He glanced briefly to the female stranger who had not once, but twice caused him to come close to having a gynophobia induced heart attack today. Like most women she appeared amused by his reactions. He supposed it wasn't really her fault for startling him on both accounts, but it still didn't change the fact that his reactions had been, for lack of better word, showy. He had slowly started working on learning on how to accept females come physically closer to him as of late, but sudden and unwelcome proximity always elicited the same response. “Sorry about that. It's nothing personal or anything...” He said to the woman with a small shrug. So much for staying low around here.
Letting out a weary sigh, Guy retrieved his fallen sword which had slipped out of his belt when he'd bolted from his previous spot. Coming to stand, he lifted his head to look back at his red-haired companion, only to blink when he saw double. He wasn't suffering from any vertigo was he? No, his vision was clear and his head was fine. Then what...? “Lu-” He started to call out a warning to his friend, his free hand moving to grasp the hilt of his sword. He only stopped when said red-head called out a name. A name that belonged to someone who had passed away some years ago at the end of their journey.
Or so he'd thought.
Guy felt himself freeze, eyes widening as is lungs seemed to stop working. He knew he wasn't seeing things, but in the back of his mind, he couldn't help but question if this all was truly real. Asch, the boy who he had originally known as 'Luke' before being replicated by his old caretaker and friend Van, was standing there, in front of Luke, and looked just as real as any of the other people around him. The sound of Luke's worried voice drew Guy out of his shock, coaxing feeling back into his numb limbs as he started to move forward. The swordsman felt utterly confused and almost rather sick.
If he was feeling this off balance from all of this though, Guy could only begin to grasp at the idea of how Luke was doing. They'd known Asch and the rest of the God General's had passed away on their journey to facing Van, and while Luke didn't return until a few years later after the older man's defeat, Guy had never doubted his friend would one day return. Yet now, being in a strange world he hardly had any understanding of, they were seeing an old companion who they'd believed to be dead.
Coming to stand behind Luke's shoulder, he stared at the man in front of them, briefly unable to form any type of word before muttering, “Asch?” This just... couldn't be real.

To see two faces he once knew, there was an instant relief that washed over him. Though inside his body a raging anger still burned with an intense blaze, for that second he was subdued. Too exhausted to yell or to fight, well for the most part. Upon the feminine contact, which was delivered in the form of a shake, Asch's typical glare crossed his features. He had no recollection of the girl, and cared not one d**n bit for her.
"Get your d**n hands off me, worm." He spat, words piercing and harsh.
He pulled away, away from hands he did not know. And before he could relax a moment, finally having recovered his personal space, Luke had come and decided to aid the original in standing. Stubborn, Asch pushed the male away, unwilling to allow his replica to best him once again. The male attempted in standing straight, which merely led to him leaning down and gasping for breath not a moment later. Being revived, it was no easy thing to endure.
Another voice called his name, the male's attention turning. A blond, oceanic hues, thin frame. The male who had, once upon a time, desired his head on a plate. Crimson hair spilled over a pale face as the original managed to peer up at the other, capable of no more than he was doing right then. It was infuriating to be so weak! Asch was on his last leg, and it was apparent. It felt as though he had fought of an army and hadn't slept in months. It was an exhaustion he never though could be relieved.
Still, stubborn and proud right? "Gailardia. Finally someone with a brain around here. What the hell is going on? What is this place?"
