A new world.
Quite intriguing in all honesty though curiosity had gotten him some information. This place was called ‘Koori’ it was cold here from what he gathered from others, though this ‘cold’ didn’t seem to plague him any, how bothersome when people stare at him when he not mind the cold. Ah well. He didn’t care. As well as he had gathered more information, that the Ruler here was a rather young man. Perhaps then the younger and the more foolish, Jade would easily seek to speak with him, however he was in no hurry, perhaps even being lazy at the moment. Jade adapted very quickly anyway.
As snow drifted silently to the ground outside, as the Malkuthin Colonel brought a teacup to his lips and sipped the warm lucid inside that caused his glasses to fog up just a bit, but the content was rather delicious though a touch or alcohol would make it even better, though honestly he didn’t think to much of it plus he needed to keep as much Gald as he could save, other then food and a room at the Inn, his crimson eyes glanced out the window where the snow drifted down, ah this place reminded him so much of his home-town. He gave a small sigh and set the teacup down and whipped his mouth, then pushed his glasses up.
Perhaps something caught his attention, Jade stood sliding his chair in and walked towards the front door, opened it and stepped outside without any care. He sucked in a deep breath of cold air and, eyes scanned the area. “hmmm” he put his hands in his pockets and stepped a few feet before turning walking though the city yet again what seemed like the millionth time, however every time he did learn something new, perhaps he was just in the mood to take a walk, in the freezing weather, or maybe would learn something new too. Hmm…..

Hands moved quickly, rubbing up and down on his arms as he slowly made his way down the snowy street. This cold was really starting to get to him. Despite his newly 'acquired' jacket, he was unable to handle the burden this cursed city put upon him. Even the buildings were made of ice! What would possess somebody to think this would be a good place for a kingdom? Random thoughts and complaints brought him away from this place for a brief moment as he continued to wander blindly. Fantasies of sitting bundled up next to a fire with a hot cup of coffee. Something warm to eat wouldn't be half bad either. Something with a real kick to it. Maybe even back in his lab, fine tuning Jess or Julie. Albatross was due for an update as well. How was he supposed to continue his work? If he couldn't find a workshop of some sort before long, he was going to lose his mind. Especially if something happened to one of his lovely tools.
Head hung low as he let out an irritated sigh. What a mess, what a mess. Why did he get dropped in this town of all places? Isn't there some sort of desert? And that just brought him back to his original thoughts. "How the hell did I get here...?" Thickly gloved hands stuffed themselves into into his coat pockets, head shaking slowly as he continued to probe his mind. Perhaps some form of amnesia was preventing him from remembering how he got there. Alas, his desperate struggle was in vain. Efforts were soon abandoned as Alexander looked up from the path, spotting a strangely dressed man exiting a building. At least, strangely built for this place. Despite his lack of padding, he appeared to be completely comfortable. Steps came to a halt as he watched the man curiously. Something about him was familiar. In fact, his clothing looked like it could be from Auldrant. Even if it wasn't it definitely wasn't the clothing of a local. Could it be he wasn't the only one tossed into this unfamiliar world? Only one way to find out.
Steps quickly grew faster as he approached Jade, quickly putting on a less distressed face. With his now entirely calm, relaxed expression he slowed himself down to a casual walk. No need to startle the man. Besides, he couldn't approach him begging for help. He needed to be in control. A deep breath was taken as he drew nearer. This guy better be able to help. "Hey! You there." A hand was lifted in an effort to get Jade's attention. He would stop near his target, taking a moment to examine him more closely. "You definitely don't look like you're from around here. Where exactly are you from?" His approach was admittedly blunt, but manners weren't exactly the first thing on his mind at this point. He didn't have the patience to beat around the bush if there's a chance this guy is in a similar situation. Maybe he could be of assistance. Better yet, he could tell him how he managed to stay so warm.

Jade’s hands firmly clasped behind his back as he walked his boots sinking in the snow a inch or two with every step, ah that familiar sound of crunching snow a sound he’d grown so tired of as a child and now it brought a bout a strange nostalgia in the Colonel’s mind, yes he quite enjoyed such a feeling for now though assumed in time his childhood might creep back upon him and he would grow tired of seeing the white sheets that spread out around him, of course before he ever go tired of being as some said ‘cold’. Even some of the citizens here gave Jade strange looks for his lack of clothing, Jade merely gave them one of his causal smiles that most likely peeked some other strange reaction to the man but he didn’t care to sit and watch what others thought of him.
Finely though the sound of another’s footsteps grew closer to him. His crimson eyes were sill preoccupied with sights around him the architecture of the city was enjoyable to him. Finely though a voice broke the silence. The man seemed in need of something, Jade figured it maybe rude to ignore him so he turned his attention upon the male whom appeared younger then himself, the blond hair reminded him of someone from back home.
“Greetings.” he spoke smoothly as if he had not a care in the world, because well this wasn’t his world after all why should he care about it? Regardless Jade seemed to notice the climate seemed to make his glasses grow cold. A blond-brown eyebrow raised ever so slightly as he looked the male over seeming a but interested by his appearance, and the stranger seemed just as interested in Jade as well. Jade would amuse him and humor the boy. “Perhaps I should take offence to that.” he spoke looking down at himself and looked he thought he’d fit in just fine… but then a smile creased his lips again, if the male could tell or not, Jade was kidding, the man asked where exactly he was from so Jade thought he would humor the man once again. “I was born in Keterburg, Malkuth. However I would now have to say am from Malkuth’s very own Grand Chokmah and third division military.” he stated watching him for what kind of reaction the child might give.
Jade Curtiss notorious from his world if that is where this man was from, of not well the Necromancer was well on his way to reclaiming himself a new title though he liked to think of this as a bit of a vacation, and naturally he’d not offer up his name until one was offered to him from this peculiar male.

"Greetings."Alexander had to hold back a sigh of relief as the oddly familiar man decided to respond. Part of him was afraid that he would simply be ignored. And where would he end up if that happened? "Perhaps I should take offense to that" Lips curved into a frown, eyes narrowing slightly to give him an irritated glance. It wasn't until he caught a glimpse of that smile of his, hinting that he was just messing with him. Face quickly reverted back to it's previous state of relaxation, giving him a weak smile and a faint laugh. "My mistake." He did his best to hold back his frustrations, and managed to do a fine job of it. The only thing that managed to slip was a slight twitch in the corner of his smile. While Jade was going at a reasonable speed, Alexander's eagerness for knowledge was making him abnormally anxious. If there was one thing that bothered him, it was not knowing something. And this guy was potentially valuable asset.
"I was born in Keterburg, Malkuth. However I would now have to say am from Malkuth’s very own Grand Chokmah and third division military." Eyes widened for a moment before quickly returning to their focused state. Could it be? He was actually from Auldrant? Not only this, he was a soldier of Malkuth. Arms folded across his chest as a sincere grin replaced his false smile. Finally, he was getting somewhere. If this guy knew what this place was, then things may finally start to go his way. "Really now? Malkuth third division?" He paused briefly for a moment, a hand lifting up to scratch his chin as he pondered his next words. If this guy was a soldier, he had to have some fighting ability. Definitely more than himself. This guy may be of more use than he previously thought. "Interesting. You see, I am also Auldrant. A head fonetechnitian in Belkend. Previously Sheridan. Before the...massacre." There was another pause as he took a deep breath, shaking his head slowly. He could only be thankful that he wasn't still working there at the time.
"But that's the past. Fact is that neither of us are supposed to be here. Do you have any information about what could be happening here?" He hated having to ask someone else for help. Especially in such a direct manner. But his anxiety was starting to get the better of him. He hardly had a choice at this point. These were uncharted waters, and he needed to do whatever he could to figure things out. Though he had the feeling that this guy was just as in the dark. After all, how could he possibly have figured more out? In fact, this man should probably be asking him for information. A smug smile subconsciously spread across Alexander as he thought to himself, feeding his own arrogance. He suddenly snapped back to reality as remembered something. If they were going to be speaking to be exchanging information, they may as well exchange names while they're at it. "By the way, I didn't catch your name."

Jade watched the other man whom seemed bothered by something , Jade thought that the male’s life was most likely miserable enough at the moment without his prodding so he decided to go a bit easier on him. “Think nothing of it.” he stated with an almost sincere smile this time. Jade’s interest was peeked the male was both anxious and then showed slight signs of being relieved, and seemed to know Malkuth, thus leading Jade to believe this man was one of his own people (or at least of his world anyway).
Jade smiled calmly as he stopped walking figuring it would be rude to just keep going this man seemed a little distressed, but by what? Oh yes! They were in some new unknown world Jade had almost forgot, not that he thought this was hell, it wasn’t half bad at least there seemed to be no real language barriers and Artes worked just as well here though he’d not run into any reason to use his full powers as of yet. “A pleasure to see that I am not the only one whisked away from Auldrant.” he stated bringing his hand up and pushed his glasses further up his nose gently.
“Yes, well that is one thing, our beings are not supposed to exist here and yet we do, thus there has to be a reasoning behind it or I would assume we couldn’t exist and would cease to.” he brought a his hand to his chin now his other hand folded across him and under his elbow. “so worry not, we both have a reason for being here, and what I have found out thusly so far is we are in a world called ‘Suiren‘, I believe the furthest town North called ‘Koori’ feel lucky though there seem to be no language barriers, Fonon changes nor currency seem any different then our own world, I must admit it is almost to easy to fit in here” he smirked lightly.
Jade went silent for a little while contemplating his own words he hoped the man was able to keep up, though didn’t doubt he could if he worked as a fonetechnitian he should be pretty smart though Jade almost felt like he just couldn’t escape his own world, he amused himself for a second thinking about giving a false name but in the end he nodded contently as ever as he took a few steps looking around. “Jade Curtiss, and you are?”

"Think nothing of it." Good. So he was joking after all. It was a bit of a relief, really. Any bit of tension that he can release himself of, the better he could focus on the task at hand. He could feel things tilting in his conversational partner's favor. That was one thing that could not be allowed. Something had to be done to fix this. On the other hand, perhaps this could work to his benefit. If he feels empowered, maybe he'll get confident and let information slip. He was just a soldier after all, and soldiers weren't kept around for their intelligence. His rank wasn't made known, but he felt confident that he wasn't too high up.
Egotistical thoughts were suddenly interrupted as Jade began to speak once more. "A pleasure to see that I am not the only one whisked away from Auldrant." A slight honest smile spread across his lips as he nodded slowly in agreement. It really was good to see someone else from his home land. Even if he was on the opposite side. Not that it really mattered to him. It was then that the thought suddenly struck him. he was a soldier of Malkuth. Therefore, he was probably more loyal to his country than your average citizen. There was no telling what his thoughts of the other side where. The fonetechnitian noticeably grew tense as he put himself on guard. This man's words definitely couldn't be taken at face value. "Yes, well that is one thing, our beings are not supposed to exist here and yet we do, thus there has to be a reasoning behind it or I would assume we couldn’t exist and would cease to." Smile grew a bit as he stifled a chuckle. It was sad really. The poor man was trying so hard to sound intelligent. He had to admire his determination.
Smile slowly faded into a frown as Jade spoke of his accumulated knowledge. There were a few tidbits of information that he didn't realize yet, but it wasn't enough to tell him how he got here. At the mention of fonons he noticeably perked up. "Yes. The similarities are very strange. Actually, I've already got a few theories by this point. I'll need to study this world's history before I draw any conclusions..." Gloved fingers reached up to rub his temples as he closed his eyes. It would be so much easier to focus if it weren't for this violent climate. Part of him wanted to slip back into his little fantasy of a more welcoming environment. That simply wouldn't do, though. He needed to keep himself focused on the task at hand.
A hand subconsciously moved to rest on his holstered Jess as his thoughts turned towards Jade's mention of fonons. If his words could be trusted, that meant that his creations would continue to work as they did back home. Not only that, but he could continue his work without having to leave his comfort zone. "Jade Curtiss, and you are?" Eyes widened and teeth clenched as the moment those ears reached his ears. No... It couldn't be. This had to be imposter. He was unable to hide his reaction, clearly frozen solid from pure shock. "J-Jade Curtis? Father of Fomicry?" There was a brief pause as he cleared his throat and stood up straight, dusting himself off. He had followed this man's work for quite some time, and was well aware of his works. Not to mention his more commonly known title Jade the Necromancer. Him of all people? What are the odds? "Alexander Sears. It's good to actually meet you in person, Jade." [/size]

Perhaps no one could understand how Jade thought, sometimes Jade wondered if he did. He didn’t take pride in sounding ’smart’ as some may think rather he spoke his mind, and merely used tones that might have made him sound questionably less-smart then he really was, but to Jade all of this was just one simple game after the other, none of it serious, and none of it would hold any purpose in the future. Jade lived in the moment, more or less having as much fun at the colonel was aloud to.
“Indeed” Jade spoke casually almost loosing interest now, he’d often have to remind himself he was no longer a scientist when his brain thirsted for knowledge of this world while Jade actually wanted to take it easy and use this as some of his vacation time perhaps. He watched this man’s motions and a smile slid across his lips though this one appeared true there was no real telling. “you look like you could use some hot tea and rum.” he pointed out as he folded his arms, it might have seemed random but it was true. While Jade was unbothered by the climate, he was smarter then he let on. “Or maybe you should soon leave this continent.” he stated calmly.
Jade made no motion as the man touched his holster some people might have flinched wondering what the other was thinking, Jade didn’t seem to care. He drew in a deep breath ad left out a soft one his breath turning white in the air and floating away from his lips. Finely though his name seemed to spark a reaction in this over man. Jade tilted his head blinking a few times as if he were actually surprised. “Are you alright?” he asked politely as always. Jade then gave a slightly more heavy sigh. “I suppose I could go by that name.” he stated seeming as if a few gears in this other man’s head were turning now. “a pleasure Mr. Sears.” he offered a hand shake.
